Gramercy Brass Celebrates Its 40th Anniversary!
Gramercy Brass of NY marked its 40th Anniversary with a commemorative concert on Irving Place in the heart of the historic Gramercy Park neighborhood on September 12, 2022
Twenty-five members of our award-winning orchestra performed works to celebrate the 90th Birthday of New York City-born film composer John Williams and other notable composers including Sir Arthur Sullivan, Puerto Rican born Rafael Hernandez, Arthur Pryor, the legendary Edward Kennedy (Duke) Ellington and “The Music Man” composer himself, Meredith Wilson.
A private VIP reception took place following the concert for sponsors and supporters of Gramercy Brass Orchestra of NY, hosted by NY1 Morning Show anchor Pat Kiernan. Sponsors included Amazon, The National Arts Club, Thrivant Financial and the Office of NYC Council Member Carlina Rivera. The performance was also made possible by generous financial support from the Friends of Gramercy Brass Orchestra of NY.
