Please note again: placement auditions are only required for the Premier Band level. If a student has been in either the JR or SR Brass Band, and is happy with this placement, there is no required placement audition.
Placement Audition Repertoire/Date/Location:
Placement audition repertoire will include two major scales of your choice, and an except of a solo or etude of your choice. Placement auditions will be evaluated heavily on sight reading skills.
Placement auditions will take place on Sunday, July 25 at Caldwell College by appointment.
Students will be notified of appointment schedule via email or phone. Placement results will be posted upon arrival to Gramercy Brass Band Camp on Monday, July 26, 2010.
Campus Dorms:
Although Gramercy Brass Band Camp is a DAY program, there are limited campus dorm rooms available at reasonable rates for students and families traveling from out of town. Students utilizing dorm rooms must be accompanied by an adult over 21. If this is of interest to you, please indicate this need in a separate email.
Note of Interest: Caldwell College is just a short bus ride from all NYC attractions. Gramercy Brass Band Camp can therefore become a musically productive week as well as a family NYC vacation in the evenings all in one.
