15th ANNIVERSARY FESTIVAL WEEKEND

August 9 - 11, 2019

 

2019 marks our 15th Anniversary Season, and we are celebrating this milestone by offering a new option to enhance this one of a kind Gramercy Brass Band Camp experience:

 

15th Anniversary Festival Weekend for Alumni, Adults and advancing HS/College students




Who should attend GBBC 15th Anniversary Festival Weekend?

  • Advanced HS Students

  • College Students

  • GBBC Alumni and Adults (Professionals, Semi Professionals and Avocational Players with experience seeking a challenging brass environment combined with the comradery of like minded friends.)    

 

Qualifying instruments include:

  • Trumpet/Cornet

  • Flugelhorn

  • French Horn/ (or Eb Tenor Horn)

  • Trombone/Bass Trombone

  • Baritone/Euphonium

  • Tuba

  • Percussion



What is the schedule?

Friday, Aug 9 - Afternoon/Evening

Saturday Aug 10 and Sunday Aug 11 - rehearsals and clinics throughout the day followed by a Sunday afternoon Brass Spectacular performance.

Where is GBBC Festival Weekend located?

GBBC is located on the air conditioned campus of the Second Reformed Church at 436 Union St, Hackensack, NJ 07601. Website -   http://secondreformed.org

 

Where is the Sunday performance?

Sunday, August 11.

The final day of GBBC and our finale concert will take place at the nearby Teaneck HS Auditorium/ 100 Elizabeth Ave, Teaneck, NJ 07666

What time is the finale concert on Aug 11?

The concert is planned for 3:30pm and should be completed well before 5:30pm.

The performance will include our GBBC Youth Brass Band Camp groups, as well as the 15th Anniversary Festival Weekend groups and guest soloists.

What is the cost of the Anniversary Festival Weekend?

There is an early, weekend festival registration fee of $149 prior to July 1. From July 1 forward, the fee is $199.  This includes lunch (Sat and Sun,) a Gramercy Brass Band Camp T-shirt,  and all materials needed, such as music, music stands, etc..

 

We offer a 50% discount to attendees who bring a friend at the full weekend rate. This can be indicated when submitting the online registration form.

 

Understanding that the cost may be a challenge for some, we offer a three payment plan option, via PayPal.  This information will be sent to you via email after receiving your registration form submitted online.

 

Special Volunteer Offer:

Help is needed. If you might be interested in volunteering your time as an assistant throughout the full weekend, you can attend for the nominal fee of $45 to cover your basic costs. Information will be found within the website registration form.

 

Is there an audition to attend the Anniversary Festival Weekend?

There is no formal audition to attend the Anniversary Festival Weekend. There will be a place on the registration form to indicate your experience, educational situation, etc..

We are pleased to announce our new association with the magnificent Crowne Plaza Hotel in neighboring Englewood, NJ. Located right off of rt. 4, and about one minute from the George Washington Bridge, the Crowne Plaza accommodation offers an opportunity for families to combine GBBC and/or our Anniversary Festival Weekend, with an exciting NY area vacation.

 

Our special GBBC rate is $115 per night/ per room.

Gramercy Brass Band Camp - Youth Brass Band Camp will be departing the facilities by 1:30pm.

 

2:30pm / Arrival / Coffee and Light Snacks will be on hand.

 

3:30pm / Session I
